For this episode of In Conversation we took it indoors to give y'all a look at the space the folk and myself were able to create on April 5th and 6th. I had to pleasure of sitting with my friends and fellow creatives in A.R.T to talk about an array of topics. Big shoutouts and much love to Darryl, Jayden, Kian, and Zelli; the space wouldn't be possible in the capacity that it was if it weren't for them.
As a collective comprising of visual artists and musicians we came together to create a space geared towards physical interaction and communication, the topics in this conversation range from film and music takes, topics of seeking ownership within typically white or affluent fields, the importance of community and finding like-minded individuals, as well as a number of random yet highly thought provoking conversations.
The homies Jayden & Kian just dropped a tape too, you can find 5D Fantasy on all streaming platforms.
Quick fact check for myself I actually saw Scarface on 35mm not 70mm; the brain be mixing up information sometimes yadigg *shrug* and shoutout to Earl, my editor (Darryl) told me I gotta give him credits cuz Kian took his quote. Apologies for being on our phones 2, running the space and having a talk at the same time proved to be a task in itself. ALSO, GO WATCH LA HAINE IF YOU HAVE NEVER WATCHED IT, THAT SHIT A MASTERPIECE!
