Queue up any Wu-Tang or Reggae song that mentions Wallabee Clarks and you might get where I was coming from.

These would mark the first pair of shoes I’ve customized. The idea actually sparked back from seeing a brown paisley print on someone’s shoe on the train back in like 2020. I never thought a physical product would come into fruition until the idea dawned back on me some time earlier this year.

I realized I finally had the skills and means to do the project.

Much like all my other projects based around clothes this shoe is meant to be worn in, torn up, and lived in. The upper paisley fabric will reveal the green suede fabric underneath, either through wears over time or through personal deconstruction.

The shoe is a nod to all influences I hold dear, tear away fabric, beef and broccoli colorways (shoutout all my NYers who understand), Hip Hop culture, and Jamaican roots.
