When it comes to photography I’ve always been interested in documenting the world around me. Not just my life, but the lives of those closest to me, the mundane parts of living, things that spark interest, fleeting moments of joy, nature, as well as the constant motion we find ourselves in with our day to day objectives. There’s a strange duality that I see in my work because though there’s a lot of chaos in our everyday lives I’m still fascinated by the stillness and serenity that lingers around it.

Much like the rest of my work, I use it as an extension of myself to show the world how I view it. I lean heavily on experimentation and abstraction to not just invoke thought in myself but in viewers. What’s the context behind the work? What thoughts or feelings inspired it? How did it impact the subject, be it a person, space, object, or viewer?

Photography for me essentially functions as the best way for me to capture a memory and connect with the world outside of me, so I try to bring that thought process along with me any time I pick up my camera to shoot.
